Themes and Menus

Welcome!

We are happy to have your child attend Valley's AWANA Club. We consider it a privilege to provide opportunities for your child’s physical, mental, and spiritual growth.

We want all clubbers to understand that God loves them and that He has a unique and special plan for their lives. The name AWANA come from the first letters of the Bible verse in 2 Timothy 2:15: “APPROVED WORKMEN ARE NOT ASHAMED.”

What is AWANA?

AWANA Clubs are weekly meetings for boys and girls ages 3 through high school. They are carefully organized to provide maximum interest and activity for everyone. The Clubs are:

            Preschool                     Cubbies**       (boys and girls)
**Note: Cubbies must turn 3 before August 31.

Grades K – 2nd             Sparks             (boys and girls)

            Grades 3 – 6                Truth and Training

            Grades 9 – 12              Journey (coed)

AWANA Clubs are filled with life-enriching experiences for young people. They provide consistent positive Biblical teaching every week. Training that stresses strong moral and spiritual    values. Young people learn about the reality of God, the truth of the Bible, and respect for our country and its freedoms. AWANA exists for parents who appreciate the valuable influence of a wholesome peer group in their children’s lives.

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Dinner is served from 5:15 to 6 p.m. This is a great time of fellowship for the whole family before AWANA club starts. There is a suggested donation for the meal.

Your children should arrive on Wednesday nights at 6:15 p.m. Flag ceremony starts at 6:20 p.m. Please pick up your children at 8:00 p.m.

Please support your child’s interest in this program by making sure they: 1. Wear their uniform. 2. Bring their dues. 3. Bring their handbook. 4. Bring their Bible.

Parents are always welcome to visit us on Club night and we encourage clubbers and their families to attend their church and Sunday school. If you don’t have a church that you regularly attend, we would like to invite you to visit ours. And Please feel free to call your child’s leader or us if you have any questions.
